Definition

The cuff is the lower section of a beanie that folds outward to form a double band. It can be fixed (sewn) or free (adjustable by the wearer). Its height and position affect where embroidery and patches are placed.

A cuffed beanie has the folded edge forming a double band across the forehead: the logo is typically centred on this cuff, visible from the front. Cuff-free models (long or slouchy beanies) have no fold: the logo sits directly on the knit, positioned higher up. A ribbed knit cuff is the most elastic and close-fitting; a jersey cuff is flatter. A very deep cuff can partially cover the logo, which should be assessed during the customisation briefing.
