Internal visor insert. Modern: HDPE plastic. Eco: ReTraze® from recycled nets.
Shaped internal plate that gives rigidity to the visor. Today made from HDPE plastic or eco materials (such as ReTraze®). Replaced the old cardboard that deformed with water.
The stiffener is thermoformed to a thickness of 1.8–2.5 mm. HDPE (high-density polyethylene) withstands washing and does not crack. Eco version: ReTraze® (100% recycled HDPE from decommissioned ocean fishing nets). The stiffener material determines the visor's flexibility: stiffer = more stable visor.
