hook-and-loop closure
Quick hook-and-loop closure. Economical and versatile. Tends to wear out and collect lint.
Two fabric strips (hooks + loops) that attach when pressed together. Fast, continuous adjustment. Inexpensive but wears over time and collects lint.
The velcro system (trademark of Velcro® Group) uses a micro-hook band and a micro-loop band. Very wide adjustment range (~6 cm). Used in budget sports and mass promotional caps. Downside: with repeated washing the loops deteriorate and grip decreases.
