The Fam-S is the baseball cap that brings suede texture into the GRS-certified rPET segment: the 81% recycled polyester + 19% polyester composition creates a suede-effect fabric — soft to the touch, with a surface texture that absorbs and diffuses light instead of reflecting it. No other GRS rPET 6-panel in the Atlantis catalogue has this texture. The comparison with the other rPET 6-panels (James JAME, Recy Six RECS) clarifies the difference: with equal certification and structure, the Fam-S stands out for the tactile and visual quality of the fabric.
The recycled buckram guarantees front stability for precise embroidery over 12×6 cm. Embroidery on suede fabric has a different visual effect from smooth twill: stitches integrate into the fabric's texture instead of standing above it, creating a result resembling embroidery on premium golf caps. The metal buckle with metal eyelet is consistent with the model's premium positioning. The mid ReTraze® visor is recycled from fishing nets.
Five colours — cardinal, grey, black, navy, stone — selected to enhance the suede texture: colours that show the fabric's velvety quality rather than hide it. It is not the cap for anyone seeking a wide palette or large print areas — suede isn't the optimal surface for screen printing and DTF — but it is the cap for anyone wanting a GRS rPET with premium perceived quality.
