Definition

A beanie is a knit winter hat with no brim or rigid structure. It is worn fitted on the head, often with a fold-up cuff, and made from technical or natural yarns for thermal insulation in cold weather.

Ribbed or jersey knit construction gives stretch and a close fit without uncomfortable side seams. The main customisation zone is the front panel, where flat embroidery is the preferred technique; 3D puff embroidery is not recommended as it distorts the cuff fit. Seamless beanies (tubular construction) offer maximum comfort but a reduced working area. Sizing is universal or adjustable via the cuff.
