Brim

hat brim, bucket brim, down brim

360° UV protectionCurved surface: DTF preferred
Definition

The brim is the band of fabric that extends horizontally all the way around the base of the crown on a bucket hat. Unlike a baseball cap peak (front only), the brim provides full sun protection and creates a separate print or embroidery surface from the crown.

Brim width ranges from 5 to 8 cm on standard models, up to 10–12 cm on reinforced UV-protection versions. Construction can be double-layer (outer + inner fabric) or single-layer with internal stiffening. For customisation purposes, the brim is a zone complementary to the crown: the main logo is usually placed on the front crown, while the brim can carry decorative text, secondary branding or patterns. For brim printing, DTF is preferable to screen printing due to the curved surface.
