Definition

The bucket hat is a headwear style with a brim that drops uniformly all the way around the crown, giving 360-degree sun protection. Unlike a baseball cap, it has no front peak and no rigid structure.

The typical construction uses 4 or 6 sewn panels forming a hemispherical crown, with the brim attached as a separate element. This creates two distinct customisation zones: embroidery on the front crown and print or patch on the brim. Technical models feature water-repellent or ripstop fabrics for outdoor use; lifestyle versions use canvas, denim or packable cotton. All-over printing (sublimation) works particularly well on this format thanks to the continuous brim-to-crown surface.
