Definition

The most widely used fabric in caps. Diagonal weave (recognisable by the small diagonal lines on the surface). Strong, soft to the touch, ideal for embroidery.

Twill is a weave structure in which threads cross in a staggered pattern, creating a visible diagonal structure. Typical weight for caps: 200–240 g/m². Variants: brushed twill (peach surface, worn look), cotton canvas (heavier, workwear look), ripstop twill (with reinforcement threads in a grid).
