Definition

Synthetic foam used as the front panel in classic trucker caps. Creates a flat, rigid surface ideal for screen printing.

EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) is the light, structured foam that defines the iconic 'bubble' front of 1970s trucker caps. It is the surface best suited to screen printing because it is perfectly flat and rigid. Embroidery is difficult because the needle tends to punch through the foam unevenly.
