The choice starts with the weather. A windbreaker is light and folds into a pocket; a softshell blocks wind and light rain while staying flexible; a fleece keeps you warm without weighing you down. For real cold there are padded jackets and parkas; a gilet covers the body and leaves the arms free.
On a jacket, the logo goes on the left chest, the sleeve or the back. The zip splits the front in two: a graphic in the centre of the chest is not possible. Seams and pockets limit the space, and MyMockup shows the possible positions for each model.
Embroidery gives a refined look and lasts as long as the jacket. On fabrics with a waterproof membrane, though, the needle pierces it and water gets through: there, transfer is used. On padded jackets, embroidery goes on a small, smooth panel, so as not to flatten the padding.
