See which t-shirts, sweatshirts and polos you can order in exactly that color, with each match's color-fidelity percentage and a direct link to the product page.
ΔE CIEDE2000 — the standard for color perception.
Delta E measures how different two colors appear to the human eye. It's the same standard used in the textile and print industries: the lower the value, the more faithful the garment is to your brand. Every match shows its ΔE.
Color perception scale — from an identical match (left) to a merely similar shade (right). Pantone Finder converts ΔE into a percentage: 100% = perfect match, above 90% = excellent for printing.
Frequently asked questions
What is Pantone Finder Match?
Pantone Finder Match is a free Custoomy tool that lets you find t-shirts, sweatshirts and polos available in your brand's Pantone color. Unlike simple color converters, it compares your color code against data certified by apparel manufacturers and shows which garments you can order in that exact shade.
How do I use Pantone Finder Match?
Enter the Pantone code (e.g. 289 C), the HEX value (e.g. #1B2B4B) or the RGB values of your brand color into the search field. The tool automatically finds garments available in that shade, sorted by color fidelity, and shows each product's match percentage.
What does "Declared by the brand" mean?
It means the manufacturer has officially published the Pantone match for that fabric color. It's the most reliable data available. "Very close" indicates an automatically calculated match with Delta E below 2.5. "Estimated color" indicates an indicative match to verify before production.
What is Delta E and how is color fidelity calculated?
Delta E is a scientific algorithm that measures the perceptual distance between two colors. Custoomy uses the CIEDE2000 formula, the most accurate for perception on fabric. A Delta E of 0 means an identical match. Pantone Finder Match converts this value into a percentage: 100% is a perfect match, above 90% is excellent for fabric printing.
Is Pantone Finder Match free?
Yes, Pantone Finder Match is completely free and requires no registration. It's a public tool by Custoomy, the Italian platform for apparel and merchandise customization. Color data is updated directly by the apparel manufacturers.
Which apparel brands are included in the catalog?
The catalog includes the leading European customizable-apparel brands: Stanley/Stella, Fruit of the Loom, B&C Collection, Gildan and others. Color data is taken directly from the manufacturers' official color charts and is updated regularly with new brands and seasonal colors.
