The Gildan 19500 Hammer Maxweight is a hooded sweatshirt in a 75% American cotton / 25% polyester blend at 360 g/m², with a 100% ring-spun cotton outer surface. The 360gsm weight places it in the heavyweight segment — noticeably heavier and more structured than standard 280gsm sweatshirts. The ring-spun cotton outer surface delivers superior print results: ring-spun yarn is twisted more uniformly than open-end cotton, producing a smoother surface with less surface fuzz and improving definition for , DTG and . The 75/25 composition rules out discharge and full . With 9 EU colours the palette is curated for a premium aesthetic: neutral and vintage tones (Off White, Tan, Gravel, Olive) alongside targeted saturated colours (Deep Royal, Blue Dusk, Cherry Red, Garnet, Pitch Black). The 360gsm weight is the benchmark for embroidery in the Gildan range: the high GSM holds hooping tension without distorting. The ring-spun cotton outer surface ensures superior stitch stability compared to 50/50 sweatshirts. Stabiliser backing rarely necessary. First choice for corporate logos, complex lettering and dense embroidery. Excellent results on all 9 colours.
The 100% ring-spun cotton outer surface offers superior print quality compared to standard 50/50 sweatshirts: sharper edges and more vibrant colours with plastisol inks. Curing temperature max 160°C for the 25% polyester. The 360gsm weight stabilises the garment on the platen without additional tensioning. White underbase required on Pitch Black, Deep Royal, Blue Dusk, Olive, Garnet. Cherry Red: underbase optional for maximum saturation.
