Carbon footprint
CO₂ reduction, carbon emissions, climate impact
Measure of the greenhouse gas emissions generated throughout a product's full life cycle, expressed in kg of CO₂ equivalent.
The carbon footprint of a product quantifies all greenhouse gas emissions generated by its production, transport and disposal, expressed in kg of CO₂ equivalent (CO₂eq). On Atlantis product pages, the percentage indicates the reduction compared to a conventional reference product.
The calculation follows international standard ISO 14067, covering the full life cycle: raw material extraction, spinning, dyeing, assembly, transport and end of life. The main factors that reduce the footprint are the use of recycled materials (rPET, GRS), low-water dyeing processes and logistics optimisation. The reduction percentage shown on Atlantis product pages (e.g. "-21% CO₂eq") is calculated against an equivalent product made from virgin materials. This figure does not replace a climate certification, but is a verifiable indicator of the model's environmental performance.
