The Authentic Classic is the benchmark t-shirt in the Russell Athletic catalogue: 180 g/m² (175g in white) in ring-spun fine-gauge cotton, tubular construction with shoulder-to-shoulder tape and a 1x1 rib collar with decorative stitch. Ring-spun cotton delivers a smoother, more compact surface than open-end yarn — a concrete advantage for DTG print quality and wearer comfort. The 22-colour palette is among the widest in the 175–180g segment. Light Oxford is a standalone variant: 93% cotton and 7% viscose, with a slightly different texture. No or Fair Wear: this is a volume tee with above-average perceived quality, but without communicable eco credentials.

Ring-spun cotton in fine gauge: compact, uniform surface — optimal for screen printing. Superior detail definition compared to open-end yarn. White underbase required for dark colours. Light Oxford (with 7% viscose) may react slightly differently with certain inks: test recommended. Max area approx. 35x40 cm.
180g ring-spun cotton delivers one of the best DTG results in the 180g category. More compact surface than open-end: sharper details and more vivid colours. Pre-treatment required for dark colours. Avoid DTG on Light Oxford without prior testing (7% viscose affects pre-treatment absorption).
