The Authentic Hooded Sweat by Russell is a 280 g/m² hooded sweatshirt built on a 3-layer fabric: 80% combed ring-spun cotton and 20% polyester internally, with a 100% cotton outer surface for optimal printability. The double-lined hood with flat drawcord, coverseamed armholes and cuffs, wide cuffs with elastane, and kangaroo pocket complete a solid product for continuous use. With 19 colours and sizes XS–5XL it covers most colour and size requirements in the 280g segment. The main limitation is sustainability: only, no social or organic supply chain certification. The 100% cotton outer surface guarantees excellent screen printing results, equivalent to a pure cotton sweatshirt. White underbase required on Black, French Navy, Bottle Green, Burgundy, Convoy Grey, Indigo Blue, Bright Royal. The 20% internal polyester requires attention to curing temperature to avoid dye migration: verify with your printer on dark colours. Light Oxford and Sport Heather (marl) may react differently: test recommended.
The 280g weight and sweatshirt structure hold embroidery well. Ideal for corporate logos and text. Avoid areas larger than 8x8 cm on the pile. Use reinforcement stabiliser. The Herringbone tape at the neck does not interfere with chest embroidery positioning.
