The reduced height (4.5 cm vs the 6 cm of caps with a flat panel) is a direct consequence of the elastic knit, which needs larger safety margins to prevent stitches from creating lateral tension. Use a water-soluble stabiliser or flexible tear-away to maintain tension during stitching. Stitch density: 6-8 stitches/mm to avoid the tunnelling effect that crushes the knit. No 3D puff embroidery — the elastic knit lacks the necessary rigidity.
Woven or eco-leather patches applicable on the front via machine perimeter stitching. The elastic knit requires a non-elastic reinforcement base under the patch to prevent deformation. Recommended size: max 6×4 cm. Do not apply patches on side parts subject to traction.
