The thick seamless recycled-polyester knit supports front embroidery up to 12×4.5 cm and side embroidery up to 6×5 cm on both sides. The chunky structure requires a cut-away or tear-away stabiliser placed under the fabric to stabilise the knit during embroidery. The absence of side seams (seamless) is an advantage: no continuity issue on the embroiderable backing. Medium-gauge ballpoint needles (80/12) for knit fabrics. Moderate stitch density to preserve the Gorely's characteristic volume. Not compatible with 3D puff embroidery — the voluminous knit provides no adequate support for the extra padding.
Woven or eco-leather patches applicable via perimeter stitching on the front or sides. The chunky heather texture creates an interesting aesthetic contrast with embroidered or PVC patches. Heat-sealing is not recommended on knit — perimeter stitching only.
It is the natural choice for leisure brands, outdoor brands with a heritage aesthetic and winter gift campaigns after a beanie with visual personality beyond the logo. It is not the right product for those after a technical performance beanie or a saturated colour palette — the heather effect is beautiful precisely because it is subtle and understated, suited to those who appreciate a natural aesthetic over solid colour.
