Classic and chic: that is how SOL'S describes it, and the reason is plain to see. The collar and sleeve edges are ribbed, stretchy like a sweater cuff, finished with two stripes in a colour different from the body. The waist is shaped, the three buttons match, and the sides open into two small vents. Underneath is a piqué, the honeycomb knit, in 100% combed cotton, short fibres removed, at 200 g/m², mid-weight. It is a customisable two-tone women's polo in thirteen pairings, certified, meaning tested for harmful substances, and PETA-Approved Vegan.

With a collar like this, the logo can take a step back. SOL'S lists it as suitable for , , digital printing, heat transfer and heat-applied vinyl. For staff who welcome the public we recommend a small embroidery on the chest and, beneath it, the person's name: it does the job of a name badge. In prints, logos in solid strokes hold up better, because the raised piqué breaks up the detail. The two grey colours, with fibres of several shades in the yarn, contain 15% viscose, a wood-based fibre: there we always run a test.

First on the list of techniques SOL'S gives for the model. On a polo we ask for at least 170-180 g/m² for standard embroidery: the 200 g/m² piqué, a knit with a small raised honeycomb texture, holds a solid logo without puckering, even on the curve of the shaped waist. Raised embroidery, which the manufacturer mentions, needs 220-240 g/m² in our view: here we would limit it to an initial.
Listed by the manufacturer, with a coat of opaque white under dark colours. It pays off when there are many polos and the artwork is simple. On the honeycomb knit the ink leaves small gaps, so solid-colour logos and no hairlines. On the greys with viscose, a wood-based cellulose fibre, a test before the run is a must.
Picture it at the reception of a lakeside hotel, among the parasols of a beach club, at the desk of a tournament. Paired with the Pasadena Men in the same colours, it dresses a mixed group without changing model. It is not the right choice for kitchen staff: SOL'S gives a 40 °C wash, fine for everyday dirt but not for grease stains. For that there is the Prime Women, a polyester and cotton blend washable at 60 °C. Before ordering: lime with white is not available in size L.
