From a one-year-old to grandad: the T-shirt that puts a whole association in the same photo. Smooth 100% cotton knit of medium weight (155 g/m²), tested for harmful substances: OEKO-TEX. Screen printing for long runs, transfers for small batches; on small sizes the design must shrink. Thirty-six colours to tell festival roles apart; inside the neck a tape covers the seam. The fitted women's version is called Jamaica.

In the Beagle the smallest size is 1/2 years and the largest is 5XL: fifteen sizes of the same model. It is the customisable T-shirt for children and adults that Roly makes in 155 g/m² cotton jersey, a medium weight. In adult sizes the body is a single knitted tube, with no side seams; in kids' sizes the sides are sewn. Inside the neck a tape in the same fabric covers the seam, and the label tears away. The garment is certified : it has been tested for harmful substances.

Roly lists it as suited to in up to 6 colours, heat transfer and on all six positions, and to direct-to-garment printing on the front, back and chest. Our advice is screen printing for long runs and transfers for small batches or gradients. Embroidery, on the other hand, we advise against: below 170 g/m² the jersey gives way under the weight of the stitches and puckers around the logo. If you are dressing little ones too, prepare a second version of the artwork: the front is 34 cm wide in size M and 18 in size 1/2. Grey, with 15% viscose (a fibre made from wood cellulose), needs a test print.

For long runs this is the choice: Roly lists it in up to 6 colours on the front, back, chest and sleeves, across all 36 colours of the garment. On the front the area ranges from 34x42 cm in size M to 18x23 cm in size 1/2. Roly treats every shade except White as a dark background, so the design needs a white underbase: one extra pass to budget for.
On every position, sleeves included, Roly allows full-colour transfer: a film printed with all the gradients and then heat-applied. It suits small batches or a photograph, on any colour of the T-shirt. On a large, solid design the film is more noticeable to the touch than a screen print.

It is at its best where groups of different ages wear the same colour: the village association at its summer fair, a nursery's end-of-year party, a family reunion. It is not the right choice for sport, because cotton holds sweat, nor for anyone looking for a women's cut: for that Roly offers the Jamaica, fitted and shaped at the waist, in the same cotton and with kids' sizes. Before ordering: the 4XL comes in 13 colours, the 5XL in 6, and kids' sizes in 30 of the 36.
